She was absolutely wonderful. So caring and compassionate during a time that was very sad and hard. Would absolutely recommend her and call her the next time I will have to make this decision.
Given the circumstances surrounding any euthanasia, I thought Dr. Wahla was absolutely amazing. Definitely one of the best. I am grateful.
The Doctor was so caring, sweet and compassionate. She didn’t rush us, she gave us the time we needed to come to terms. She consoled us as we grieved. She was wonderful. I hope she knows how much we appreciated her due to the circumstances of having to say goodbye to our sweet fur baby Ryder.
Dr. Whala is a warm and compassionate vet. She is very comforting during a difficult time. I appreciate her listening to me ramble about all my pets and she appears comfortable with my often uncontrolled crying throughout her visit.
Hi Dr Whala. Bonny and I want to take a moment to thank you for helping us through a sad and difficult decision / time with our Gracie. Your compassion, kindness and understanding made this sad time easier for us. We know our Gracie is in good hands. Thank you again.
Dr. Whala did a great job. She answered all our questions and was very respectful. It's not easy to make the choice to euthanize a pet. I would recommend her for anyone who unfortunately needs this done. She showed professionalism and compassion.
Dr. Karen was very caring and compassionate and she took time to let Mariah feel comfortable with her. We didn't feel rushed, and were able to comfort Mariah, say our goodbyes, and be with her until she passed peacefully. The process was explained to us beforehand, and we were prepared as we went through each step. We had time to say our final goodbyes to our Mariah, she was gently placed on a stretcher, wrapped in a comfy blanket secured but looking like she was napping peacefully. Very thankful for the compassion and care shown to our family.
Dr. Whala came to the house to put my beautiful daughter to sleep. Because of how well she was doing she helped me with putting her in palliative care. She is patient, takes her time discussing your pets care and was willing to answer any and all questions. So grateful for her help and when the time comes I know my beautiful girl is in good hands.
Thank You Dr Whala you will always have a special place in my heart in the way you handled the passing of my awesome companion friend but most of all a very true family member although the hurt one feels will never go away I’m glad you were able to help me in this process again. Thank You ❤️
Dr. Karen Whala was very supportive and sympathetic during this sad time. She asked us many questions about our very old cat to be sure that he would be comfortable during the procedure, and was reassuring that we had made the right decision.
Dr Karen Whala was so kind and compassionate as well as tender with our sweet Lab, Kaydee. It is obvious she cares deeply. We could not have asked for a better experience for our sweet girl in this potentially scary and confusing time. Kaydee was relaxed and comfortable through the whole process, for which we are so grateful. ❤️
Everything about Dr. Karen coming to the house and the actual process of euthanasia was 5 stars. But every interaction I’ve had with the company after has left me truly disappointed. I’ll preface my following feedback with this: I work in the eCommerce space, so I’m familiar with automated workflows and emails. To set up emails only FIVE hours after someone’s dog has died asking for a review is unacceptable. My appointment was at 1:30 and by 6:30, I received a message with grief support and asking for a review. I just made one of the hardest decisions of my life and I’m getting an email asking for a review? Shameful. At least that email offered to her resources. The emails at 25 hours after and 73 hours after my appointment were just asking for a review and offered no resources. I understand this is a business but your workflow timing and content needs to change. Additionally, I had to get an invoice for my dog’s euthanasia. I sent this from my email address that I used to make the appointment and provided my dog’s name, date, and time of the appointment. This should have been sufficient information to locate my account. Wrong. I had to provide the last 4 digits on my card. Then, I was offered a payment confirmation which is not what I asked for. I had to go back and ask for an itemized invoice. If CodaPet had responded to my pet insurance when they emailed, I would not have needed to reach out on my own. Despite “courtesy notification to regular vet” listed as a service provided, this was not completed. Again, the services provided by Dr. Karen would have earned a 5/5. Every email after was inappropriate and every interaction after has left me disappointed. I would only recommend coda pet with the caveat that you should ignore all emails after.
Dr Whala brought comfort to a very difficult experience. She took a lot of time making sure our cat Indie was at ease and comfortable throughout the whole process. We are so grateful for her help and would recommend this service to anyone who is facing the loss of a beloved pet.
Karen was very professional and sensitive to our needs. It was a tremendously difficult experience for us, but we’re confident we made the right choice.
Dr. Whala was so caring and kind. What surprised me was my kitty, Domino (who is afraid of strangers and usually runs under the bed) walked over to her and stood in front of her and let Dr. Whala pet her. It was the best thing I could have done for Domino. There was absolutely no anxiety on her part and a very peaceful passing. I would recommend this to everyone as the best way to say goodbye to your fur baby.
As bad as this situation was Dr Whala made it bearable. She was kind and patient with our precious Butter and with me and my husband. She let Butter lead the way and guided us and explained everything to us. Her telephone call prior to the appointment to discuss and clarify some information was invaluable to us. If we ever have to make this terrible decision again, we could chose Dr Whala and Coda Pet. Thank you.
Dr Karen was very kind and wonderful during this very difficult time of my cat passing over the rainbow bridge. I highly recommend her and will let others know of her love for animals.
Dr. Whala was a compassionate vet that understands the emotional needs of the pet owner and throughly explained the euthanasia process. I highly recommend her services to others.
The vet was actually Dr. Oth but the option didn’t present. She was calm, gentle, and compassionate. We could not have been more pleased. Our Kelly left us in the most peaceful way.
Dr Whala was so kind and compassionate. She allowed our dog to become comfortable with her before she began anything. He was able to be in his bed, with his toys and his people surrounding him. Something devastating for our family was made manageable due to Dr Whala and her compassion.
Dr. Whala is a consummate professional. Gentle, compassionate, and empathetic. She provided a diagnostic opinion that was critical to our decision-making process.
This was our first time going through something like this with a pet let alone as a family. The comfort it put us and the time it allowed us to be with our dog in his last moments made this a very great experience. We loved Diesel so much and it made me happy to know he passed with us around him and in the comfort of his own home. Thank you
She was very kind and very patient. It's obviously a very difficult situation to be in, and she did it with much grace and sincerity. We appreciated this service and would absolutely recommend it for a better send-off for any pet.
Dr. Whala is an angel sent from Heaven to do the most difficult job with grace and comfort to both the pet and owners. Thank you so much for all your kindness and support.
Dr. Whala was wonderful. She showed great concern and care for Finnley. She fully explained everything she was doing to us. It was nice to be in our home rather than a vet office.
Dr. Whala was absolutely amazing. She let us know exactly what to expect through the entire process. We didnt feel rushed and she took her time before beginning to help our baby Keoki feel at ease. Which in turn helped us as well. This may have been the most difficult decision we have ever made but we feel confident after speaking to Dr. Whala that it was the right one. We have 3 other babies and we will definitely call on Dr. Whala when their time comes.
Dr. Karen not only spoke to me with care and understanding but spoke to my dog with love and care. Truly the best service to provide to your pets after the years of loyalty and love they’ve given you. Can’t recommend this service and Dr. Karen enough.
Dr. Whala was amazing. The way she guided us so gently through the entire process.. attuning to our family, our grief was exactly what we needed.
Dr. Whala was supportive, reassuring, informative, and caring. During this loss and time of immense pain she was a blessing to help us allow our girl to pass in peace. We are grateful for this service and grateful for Dr. Whala.
We were very impressed with how Dr. Whala handled the whole experience, as difficult it is. She was kind and gentle, listened to us talk about our dog and created an atmosphere of peace and acceptance. What a gift.
Dr Whala was so kind, compassionate and patient. She explained everything so well. I would recommend her and this company to anyone without hesitation. this was such a blessing during a hard time - thanks so much
Dr. Whala was awesome: so compassionate and patient, very informative. She definitely made this less painful. This is our 2nd experience with home euthanasia and I think it's the best option. I gave a shout out about her on Facebook and Nextdoor.com.
We couldn’t ask for a better experience. So kind, thoughtful and patient. She gave us all the time we needed snd I highly recommend her.
Dr. Whala was extremely kind, compassionate and gentle with our lab Hershey. She was sensitive and caring for our needs as Hershey's human family as well as being sensitive and mindful to the needs of our other dog Daisy, allowing Daisy the opportunity to say goodbye to her lifelong fur friend. Even though it was extremely difficult saying goodbye to our beloved Hershey, Dr Whala made the experience more bearable due to her kindness and the love she showed towards Hershey.
Dr. Whala was the right person in the right place. I am so grateful for the calmness she brought and how she helped provide care to calm my German Shepherd.
I am grateful for Dr. Wahla and her team for a peaceful transition for my angel Diesel. All my questions were answered in a timely manner and compassionate manner as well. It was a beautiful experience, I am eternally grateful.
From the time Karen texted she was at the house until she left she was so very calm, professional and patient. Her presence set the mood and the whole experience was so very peaceful for me,Bella, her dog sister Riley, dog cousins, my sister, brothers and friend. Thank you Dr Karen, you will be highly recommended! Riley and I are a bit lost even tho Bella couldn’t do much, but missing her presence. I know deep in my heart she was ready to move on. Thankyou❤️
Omg !! Dr Whala is such a blessing. Thank you for giving us the most loving gift we could to our Baby Misty. Thank you for making her last moments a loving experience all she knows is she went to sleep with her mommy petting her to sleep and her daddy near her. She felt nothing but love, comfort and content as she drifted to sleep. Dr Whala made that all possible.. Her gentle loving and caring work is priceless. Thank you from the deepest part of my heart and Misty thanks you too. 😔🙏🐾💕 🕊
Dr. Whala made a difficult situation much easier. Our 14 year old greyhound Jake quickly went downhill on a Saturday evening. We made arrangements for Dr. Whala to euthanize him on Sunday morning. She was very gentle and kind to our boy. She spent time petting and talking to him even before giving him the initial sedative to make sure he was comfortable with her. Dr. Whala also gave us time alone with him after he was sedated. The entire process was very peaceful and we felt better knowing he was no longer in any pain. We recommend Dr. Whala to anyone who is in the difficult position of needing to have their pet put to sleep. If you are able, having your pet put to sleep in your own home is less stressful for them and for you. We’re grateful to Dr. Whala for her care and kindness and will use her again when the time comes.
Dr. Whala was gentle, compassionate and professional. She reassured me that it was the right time and encourage us alm the time needed to say goodbye to our sweet Bear.
She was very compassionate and empathetic. She acted professionally through the entire process and helped to make our pet and family comfortable during this time
Dr. Whala is a very kind and compassionate person. She made what was a very difficult situation, very easy for everyone, and more importantly, our dog. She explained each step and was so loving with our dog. I would highly recommend her and this service to anyone that needs it for their pet. I will never take any of my pets to the veterinary office to euthanize them again. It’s such an emotional thing and it was so comforting to go through this at home. She is a wonderful person, what a gift she is. We appreciate having this service very much.
Dr. Whala is a vet who will help you & your dear pet through this sad, hard time of good-bye. Her expertise & experience are matched by her kind, gentle nature - I know this is the most loving way to end a dear pet’s life …..in their own surroundings with you. Thank you .
Dr Whala was calm & caring during this difficult time for us. She knew exactly what to do to calm our sweet dog and to help put us at ease as she explained what would happen. Thank you for your compassion and care.
As painful as this might be, Dr. Whala took away any concerns regarding this procedure. She is caring, understanding, gentle, and a true professional. We will call for her services regarding any other pets in the future. A sincere thank you to you.
We had to say good bye to our good boy Kadeus on 1/25/23. I couldn’t endure the thought of causing any extra stress to him so having Dr. Whala come to our home was the best decision. She was kind & compassionate through out the whole process. Kadeus passed comfortably & so peacefully. My family was truly blessed to have Dr. Whala at our side during this difficult time. Thank you all for what you do!
Karen made Brody's crossing so peaceful and pleasant. He was comfortable, at ease and absolutely no anxiety, whatsoever. Karen took her time, proceeded at Brody's pace and was so compassionate and understanding. It was the most peaceful and joyful crossing I have experienced. Thanks Karen.
I was very pleased with how patient she was with us. Our guy Dozer was extremely nervous and she made it very pleasant for him. She took her time and he didn’t even realize that she was there. He went peacefully and we are so greatful for her kind and caring gentle way i n taking care of him.
Our dog passed away in peace, in a comfortable environment, surrounded by those she loved. She was not scared, and instead of being scared, was able to relax and embrace death. I wish every animal passing was this loving and peaceful.
Dr. Whala was incredibly kind, compassionate, and patient. She is a real gem. Thank you for helping our Cloey transition to the afterlife with dignity and kindness.
I cannot speak enough praise over the kindness and compassion Dr. Karen showed to myself and my family during such a difficult time. Even though we are so sad to have lost a beloved member of our family we are so grateful for the dignified death she was provided.
Having to make the hard decision to say good bye to your pet is never going to be easy. The hours leading up to my final good bye to my best friend were painful and filled with anxiety. When Dr. Whala arrived I felt an immediate sense of calm and security. She made me and my loved ones all feel like everything was going to be okay and that my dear pet would leave this universe with dignity. Although this was the hardest thing I have ever gone through, Dr. Whala helped to make this the last moment of love and compassion to your furry friend. I cannot recommend this option enough. My Indica was surrounded by loved ones, in her home, on her comfiest bed. I miss her everyday, but I am so thankful to have been able to be there for her last breath as she was in my arms. Thank you Dr. Whala for all that you and your team do. You guys are heroes to us devote pet parents.
I was dreading the experience of having to put my dog down, but looking back now afterwards, it was such a peaceful and loving experience.
This was our 2nd experience with Dr. Whala as she helped us with our previous old dog, Nala. As expected, Dr. Whala showed us compassion and understanding as she helped us send our Duke to be with Nala. She took care in explaining the process and allowed us the space to grieve our boy. I will always recommend Dr. Whala to others as this has been the best way to say goodbye. We truly are thankful for the service that is provided on one our most difficult days. Thank you, Dr. Whala, for your kindness and care for us and our boy, Duke.
I am a retired RVT. I highly recommend in home euthanasia if possible. With Dr. Whala, everything went very smoothly. So thankful for her service.
Making the decision to euthanize our beloved Ozzy who could no longer walk was devastating. Dr. Karen was extremely kind, compassionate, and reassuring. She is truly an angel here on earth.
The name “Peaceful Passing “ truly says it all. My cat Max passed peacefully, in comfort of his home, and his blanket. Dr. Karen Whala was truly the most compassionate doctor I have met in a while. Somehow she made a sad situation into a comfortable and very dignified. I am truly thankful .

Dr Whala was so kind and compassionate. She took her time and made sure Gunner was comfortable . If was very peaceful and unhurried. Only way to have your pet pass to Dog Heaven.
We LOVE Dr. Karen Whala, and will definitely use her services again, as needed. She is patient, kind, compassionate, and professional. She made us feel ok about our tough decision to euthanize our beloved Lab, Zara. We will highly recommend her to anyone in our recent situation.
Dr Whala was so compassionate and caring. She was absolutely wonderful in explaining the process and made sure our Stella truly was comfortable . It was so peaceful and we are grateful for her services. Thank you.
It is hard to put into words, but Dr. Whala makes one of the worst experiences one can go through as best as it can possibly be. Her compassion, patience, understanding, respect and support for both my Rocky and me was so appreciated. She is a blessing to any fur parent who has to travel this journey. 💜
Dr Whala was simply amazing. Her compassion with our family goes beyond words. We griev our loss but the peaceful passing the Doctor gave us will be something we always remember.
I highly recommend Dr. Karen Whala from Peaceful Passing. She is very compassionate and empathetic. She made a very difficult and heart-breaking situation more comfortable. She was patient and allowed us time to say goodbye.
Dr. Whala made the process so much more easier to accept and assured us that this was the best decision for our beloved Blu. We struggled as a family to let her go, but Dr. Whala has such a soothing and comforting presence - the entire experience was peaceful and sacred. Thank you and we miss you Blu!
Dr. Whala provides compassion, empathy and kindness. She looks into your eyes when talking and listening. She comforts and handles my fur kid with so much care. Thank you for helping the transition of my friend.
Even though it was extremely difficult saying goodbye to our beloved Hershey, Dr. Whala made the experience more bearable due to her kindness and the love she showed towards Hershey.
Dr. Whala gave us her opinion that our boy was not ready to go. That was so much appreciated as we didnt really want to do this but we were thinking it was time. Her compassion is just absolutely amazing. When it is his time, she will be the person I will call!
This was my first time letting a pet go. It was unexpected and heartbreaking since my cat was so young. Going to a vets office would have been very traumatic for myself and my cat. I was so thankful there was an appointment available and later in the day. It meant a lot to me how respectful Dr. Whala was to me and my kitty. My heart is broken, but it was the best decision to make that appointment
At one of the most heartbreaking times in our lives, Dr. Karen Whala was a comfort. From the initial appointment scheduling through to escorting our Mollie away, Karen showed sincere compassion and care. She observed and asked questions upon arrival to be sure we were making the right decision. Throughout the process, Karen was patient and soothing, explaining every step beforehand so we understood Mollies final moments. Dr. Whala was compassionate and gave us the time we needed to say goodbye. She was a comfort through a heartbreaking experience and helped Mollie through a most peaceful passing. We highly recommended Peaceful Passing and Dr. Karen Whala. Thank you, Karen.
De. Whala was incredibly empathetic and compassionate. She took the time to thoroughly examine my cat and assure me that it was time. She took great care to see that he was feeling no pain or discomfort throughout the procedure.
Dr. Whala was a blessing to our family. She was kind, warm and gentle with our 11 yo Rottie. She is a wonderful person and Doctor. We found her soothing and informative. She explained every step in the process. The entire experience, for as painful as it is, was made more peaceful and supportive than we ever expected. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity of spirit! We couldn’t have asked for better last moments with Honeydew. Since we appreciate your services so much, I did want to leave some hopefully helpful feedback. My booking said the vet would reach out to me before the appointment, but didn’t say specifically when. Since I hadn’t heard anything the night before I got concerned and called the contact number. A nice man said a vet would call me back that night but no one did. I wasn’t sure the euthanasia appointment was going to happen until I got a text a few hours before, which for me was a bit stressful. Again, nothing but gratitude for all you do! Just thought I’d pass along my experience.
She was so kind and compassionate to us. She made sure we were okay before she left. I am so thankful for her. She took care of my best friend Toby like he was her own.
Dr. Karen was great. Very caring and empathetic taking steps to make sure Zayden was comfortable with everything before starting her process. He was treated as if he was her best friend. Highly recommended.
A very supportive company. We had scheduled a day and time, but needed to move it up due to our pet's deteriorating condition. I reached out to see if that could be done and the person in scheduling was very supportive and helpful. Dr. Whala checked in on us to see how things were going and we were given suggestions to assist. When Dr. Whala came, she was very calm and supportive; explaining what she would do. They gave lots of info on what to expect. Our pet was handled with care and respect afterwards. These folks are truly dedicated, professional and caring for a very difficult time. The next day we received an email with links for assist with grief support. This is a Very Caring company. I highly recommend them to assist in this heart rending experience.
I have told several people about the procedure and highly recommend Dr. Wahala due to her explicit explanation of the procedure and her sincere compassion. She made sure it was an easy transition for Cassie and for me.
Had this company booked marked as a referral from a friend. I called as I needed, a vet called back in an hour to answer my questions. I was able to make appointment for the next morning. Karen was on time, compassionate and explained the process. she took her time with Copper and did what was needed. the entire experience couldn't have been any better when face with putting a pet down. thank you again, I Will use them again when it is time A+ service all the way
Dr.Whala was amazing! Letting go of my best friend was the hardest decision to make and in the end I thank god I chose to have Dr. Whala come to my home and allow Pumpkin to go in peace and comfort. I could not of asked for a better experience despite the circumstances.
A very supportive and compassionate approach. They offer explanations and information . Tender, kind, care. Even the person for scheming offered compassionate guidance and assistance. A very kind and professional delivery in a very tough situation.
Dr. Whala was wonderful. She spent plenty of time listening to me and learning about Stella. She made absolutely certain that Stella felt no discomfort whatsoever. It was a rough day, but Dr. Whala made it by far the best experience with euthanizing a beloved pet that I’ve ever experienced.
Dr. Whala made such a difficult time so much easier. My dog was aggressive and she made sure to give him the right medicine to calm him down so he could pass peacefully. I’m so grateful for the vet and this company for making this process easier on my dog and for me. The doctor went above and beyond to make sure it was a calm peaceful environment. Thank you.
Dr Whala was simply the most compassionate and caring veterinarian that I have ever met. The entire process was so soothing and Dr Whala was calm as she talked me through the process. Thank you Dr Whala
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Whala she is exceptional in all ways. She made this experience as caring and loving as possible, Which made it easier for us. Thank You
Dr Whala was a blessing for us. Her calm demeanor, love and respect, and dignity was a blessing in allowing my companion Kejsi to pass calmly and peacefully. She made the moment so special for me and I will always appreciate the work she does every day to comfort those involved. Dr Whala is a true godsend and angel. Thank you so very much!
Dr. Whala was kind and compassionate and she made absolutely certain that Stella felt no discomfort whatsoever. Dr. Whala spent plenty of time throughout the process, listening to me and tending kindly to Stella.
Dr Wahla visit was personal and tailored to our needs. She took the time to speak to us about her opinion of Benny’s condition. She made sure to explain the process and made Benny’s comfort her priority. Thank you so much for the dignified experience that you gave us and Benny.
Dr. Whala's patience, kindness, and empathy are well beyond what I have experienced with any other vet. Having said goodbye to two of my pets with her, I can only hope that she will be available when I have to make similarly difficult decisions in the future.
Karen ushered in such a peaceful spirit. She was not in a hurry. Taking all the time needed to ensure Brody's and our comfort. Her assurance that this was Brody's time made the sadness of losing our beloved friend more peaceful. Thank you to Karen!
It was a very difficult time when I decided it was time to have my Sadie euthanized. Dr. Whala helped me make the decision that it was time. The whole procedure was very peaceful, and I feel it was the best decision I could have made for my sweet baby.
When entering my home my Bella barked. Doctor gently knelt and immediately made a connection with Bella using a loving soft spoken voice and gentle touch showing love and respect . Her professionalism was unparalleled. When she touched Bella she did in a way that it made Bella and I completely comfortable and secure in our decision to gift Bella the gift of euthanasia.I Will remember Dr Karen and Bella for the rest of my life , holding them in a very special place in my heart. I highly recommend Dr Karen .She does her job with such love, care and respect.
Dr. Karen was extremely compassionate and competent. I liked the fact that she evaluated Cabo to make sure that We were making the right decision.
Dr Whala was the caring and compassionate person that my family needed to handle the passing of our beloved Tramp. She told us in advance the drugs that she would be giving Tramp and the expected signs of the aftermath of dosage. She constantly monitored Tramp during the procedure and gently rubbed her hand on his fur. We interned Tramp on our farm and Dr. Whala told us how to wrap him in his special quilt so he fit the cemetery plot with plenty of space. This was a very hard decision for our family but with care given by Dr. Whala we all agreed that Tramp is now free of pain and is running again in the pet rainbow! We highly recommend Dr. Whala and it gave our family the freedom of privacy with Tramp and he was much comfortable being at home and in his favorite place in the yard. THANK YOU Dr. Whala as you are indeed a special person and shared our grief. Mark Wulf and Family
All things considered about the context of the visit Dr. Karen Whala was amazing very kind and considerate and very respectful I would definitely recommend her when it's time to make that hard decision to say goodbye to you beloved pet.
Thank you for being available Karen in what I think is almost the most important part of taking good care of our kids. You are very tender and I know the animals know you are there to help even though they don’t know you. I saw that in Ethyl very much. She had the big scared eyes but they were pleading for help. Also thank you for educating me about her tumor. I try to learn if possible each time for future knowledge. I hope your feet get better:-) Julia
